About Ridgewell

Renee Poutous Barry, CPA, MBA, CIRA Renée Poutous Barry has many years of experience in general financial advisory and small business services.

Ms. Barry understands the needs of small and medium business owners and how they differ from the expectations at larger companies. She founded Ridgewell in 2013 to help business owners regain control of their businesses through improved reporting processes.

Over the years, she has worked with companies ranging from start-ups to those with a market capitalization over $700 million. In all cases, business owners and managers made better decisions with accurate and timely financial information. Ms. Barry has cultivated a client approach to provide unique communication, reporting and training based on each client’s needs and expectations.

Ms. Barry specializes in assisting businesses as they undergo changes in management, ownership, expansion, or contraction. She enacts a systematic approach to provide financial organization and analysis.

Ms. Barry spent several years at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, then moved to Capstone Advisory Group where she focused on corporate bankruptcy consulting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from American University and an MBA from George Washington University. Ms. Barry is a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Ms. Barry is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and is a QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor. She is active with St. Patrick’s Church and the Canon Mac Youth Baseball Association.
